Brooklands Lodge

Brooklands Lodge is situated in leafy Sale, on the outskirts of Manchester, 15 minutes on the Metrolink from the city centre. It is run by a couple, Steve and Angela Vernon.

Although it is in the suburbs, Brooklands Lodge is still within the limits of the Metrolink network. It is just two minutes walk to Brooklands station, from where it is six stops to Cornbrook, where those heading for Old Trafford have to change to the Eccles branch and travel for one more stop to Pomona. Brooklands Lodge is on the A6144 (Marsland Road), one mile from junction 6 on the M60 ring road, five miles from Manchester Airport and the city centre.

There are seven rooms at the B&B: one executive suite with bathroom, one family room, three double rooms, one twin room and one single room. They are all en-suite and come with complimentary luxury toiletries and Egyptian cotton bed linen. Leather chairs are provided too.

Each room comes with a flatscreen TV and DVD player, as well as a built-in safe, a hairdryer, shoeshine and sewing kit. A mini-fridge is stocked daily with fresh milk, orange juice, yoghurt, fruit compote and a selection of cereals (a cooked breakfast is £5.95) and a hospitality tray with hot drinks and biscuits is provided. All rooms have wireless internet. There is also plenty of space for parking, provided free of charge. Brooklands Lodge welcomes conference parties.
